A lot of possibilities of doing sports with the husky are given, I would like to introduce some here. The best known ist sled dog sports, the Siberian husky isn't a sledgedog without a reason ;-)
You find some hitch examples, categories, explanations about several terms, commands and the sledge types. So much for that, more will follow a bit later.

At first we get down to different sports:

Canicross
Canicross is the sport of cross-country running while the runner is connected to the harness of the dog with a waist belt and a line that should never be longer than 2–2.5meters (6–8 feet). The dog must always be in front of the runner.

Skijoehring
The Musher accompanies the dogs on skis. Man is connected to the harness of the dog with a waist belt at a long line. The dog must always be in front of the runner.

Bikejoering
(or cani-cyclocross, bicycle or velo-joering)
Bikejoering is a sport where a team of dog or one dog pull a bike. The driver sits or Cani-cyclocross, a bicycle or Velojoering, on a mountain-bike which is fastened to the harness of the dog with an approx. 3 m line. The dog must always run in front of the wheel. Instead of a bike you can also use a dog scooter.
